Slipping Out Of The Net

Runaway Fated Mates Book Five

2025

When five girls refuse to meet their fated mates and instead run away, their guys will do anything to catch them and change their minds…

Margo:  I’m a sea siren who can’t swim or sing, and the ocean wants to kill me, so when mate registration said my mate was an ocean shifter, I ran.  Self-preservation and all that.  I didn’t need a mate laughing because I can’t swim – my sea-siren family did that plenty –  or thinking I was crazy when I have to hide from the ocean for my own safety.

Now, years later, I’m stuck photographing a six-week ocean cruise, and even more dangerous than the water around me is the charming, unspeakably hot guy named Lionel who’s flirting with me despite the fact that, since I’m not his fated mate, even just kissing him will get us both painfully zapped.

Lionel:  Margo doesn’t know I’m the lucky sea-monster shifter she’s fated to, or that we own the cruise ship I’ve trapped her on.  But telling her will only scare her away, so I have to keep it from her if I want the chance to earn her trust.  I don’t know why she ran from being my mate, but I know we belong in the ocean together, so I figure the first step is to get her in the water with me, which should be easy since she’s a sea-monster shifter, too.  Then, hopefully, she’ll see that I’m nothing for her to fear and that all I want is to love her.
